Welcome.
Duke Nukem, the politically incorrect celebrity and ultimate alien ass kicker, defends Earth and its babes from alien invasion.
He is a can-do hero who realizes that sometimes innocent people have to die in order to save Earth, so accuracy of gun fire is not a real concern to him. This is the award winning game that helped define the FPS genre and introduced unparalleled interactivity and a talking main character.
Take the fight to the aliens in Hollywood, Los Angeles, a moon base and alien spacecraft. Defeat the aliens, so Duke can get back to some R&R with a stogie, a warm belly and a bottle of Jack.

The Duke Nukem 3D source port called xDuke can be downloaded here if you want a Duke Nukem 3D Download.
Just copy your "duke3d.grp" file from the original game files discs for xDuke to run.
In the old days Duke Nukem 3D used to be played using version 1.3D the most. Nowadays everyone is using the Duke Nukem Atomic 1.5 GRP file.
If you don't have the GRP file from the original discs you can still buy Duke Nukem Atomic from http://gog.com.
Setting up the game has never been so easier, all you have to do now is run it and enter the game in single player, then change the options for your configuration controls and graphics settings as well as resize your crosshair and status bar & much more!
I do encourage you to buy Duke Nukem Atomic from http://gog.com as you support the game companies to make more games. If no one bought their games then they would not have enough money to make more.
If you want you can download the "v1.3d Shareware Episode (5785k)" to play with players using also the same GRP file.
Inside the archeive is a file called "DN3DSW13.SHR". This can be opened with Winrar available to download here: Winrar
And all you need to do is extract the duke3d.grp file to your game ports location. If you are to play someone they must also have the exact same GRP version as you.
It's very nice yes you can also run xDuke the Duke Nukem 3D source port on Vista & Windows 7. If you have any trouble running it I do recommend right mouse clicking in Windows Explorer File Manager & choosing properties of the executable file and choose the option to run the program as an administrator so it gives it write access to saving your settings.
Now that you have set up your xDuke source port to play Duke Nukem 3D the Atomic 1.5 version of the game, now it's time to download YANG (Yet Another Netplay Guider). It allows you to play Duke Nukem 3D with other players online, over the internet for FREE.

Only the server will need to have a port forwarded for playing Duke Nukem 3d online.
The rest can join without the need to forward ports when playing Duke Nukem 3d online.
This source port is called EDuke32 for Playing Duke Nukem 3d online!
The only bad news is it's not 100% finished when playing Duke Nukem 3d online.
The good TerminX being the creator of this source port for playing Duke Nukem 3d online and single player as well as the ability to create mods and maps, it even comes with a program called Mapster32 for creating usermaps even for playing Duke Nukem 3d online with those maps, much more updated than the build editor and it has new features and I have heard he is working on a new net code to fix many bugs so that it can be 100% playable when playing Duke Nukem 3d online.
The main EDuke32 site can be found here @ http://eduke32.com. & then you can begin playing Duke Nukem 3d online.
YANG already lets you join a game that is in progress by double clicking on the room name if the source port supports that feature such as EDuke32 when playing Duke Nukem 3d online.
EDuke32 you will be able to join games when they are being played when playing Duke Nukem 3d online.

Also Playing Duke Nukem 3D online Dukematch Video clip and other games can be seen in the YANG intro.
A good Dukematch video playing Duke Nukem 3d online!
So here it is, Playing Duke Nukem 3D online videos and other games below,
You might notice that you have downloaded the new EDuke32, that is currently the current release just now. You might be able to get it to work and run into a few bugs and problems due to the buggy net code and some other few bugs that exist.
Do not worry about this as it's only a bug and should be fixed in later versions of EDuke32 for Duke Nukem 3D.
There are also different prototypes of EDuke32 that can be downloaded here: http://dukeworld.duke4.net/eduke32/synthesis/ that you can test and report any crashes by generating a log file using the debug version.
You can always go back to an older version of EDuke32 for Duke Nukem 3D Atomic to play it using the "P2P" mode or the "Master/Slave" mode instead of the new EDuke32 "Server/Client" mode until the bugs have all been fixed.
To do that you can download the most stable release here: eduke32_snapshot_20081230.zip.
If you use this older "EDuke32" version on YANG from 2008, all players must have this exact same version of the game and the host must select the "P2P" or "Master/Slave" option as shown below on YANG,

If set to "P2P" mode usually all players will have to also make sure they have forwarded their ports to play unless you are playing on a LAN or a VPN such as Hamachi.
If using the "Master/Slave" mode or the "Server/Client" mode then only the host needs to forward a port.
These default ports are UDP "23513" and TCP "8501".
Now that all players are using the old version you should find that your EDuke32 games work much better until a much improved version on EDuke32 is released with lots of bug fixes and a bran new net code!
Playing Duke Nukem 3D on YANG using Hamachi is a really simply process.
Download Hamachi here: http://hamachi.en.softonic.com/.
All players are best using the exact same version of Hamachi and of course the game files.
Someone will create a network room on Hamachi and the other players will join the room name they have created over Hamachi.
Then the host will start YANG and host a room.
The host must not advertise his room or players won't be able to connect.
Once the host has created an unadvertised room on YANG.
All the other players on Hamachi in the same Network name will use the hosts Hamachi IP address starting with 5.*** or so, to do a manual join to the Hoster on YANG by choosing the "Action Menu" / "Join a room manually".
Enter the Hosts Hamachi address IP into the text box, you can find it in Hamachi when you are all together in a network room "5.***.***.***.
Now you can get ready to launch the game once all players are ready.
No one needs to have their ports forwarded if using Hamachi as it's over a VPN.
